Deuteronomio 9:4
“Kon mapapahawa na sila sa Ginoo nga inyong Dios sa inyong atubangan, ayaw kamo pag-ingon sa inyong kaugalingon, ‘Gidala kita dinhi sa Ginoo sa pagpanag-iya niining yutaa tungod kay matarong kita.’ Dili kana mao. Papahawaon sila sa Ginoo tungod kay daotan sila nga mga nasod.

Speak not thou in thine heart, after that the LORD thy God hath cast them out from before thee, saying, For my righteousness the LORD hath brought me in to possess this land: but for the wickedness of these nations the LORD doth drive them out from before thee.
