Apan mitubag si Jefta, “Dili ba nga nasuko man kamo kanako ug gipalayas man gani ninyo ako gikan sa balay sa akong amahan? Karon nga anaa na kamo sa kalisod nganong mangayo kamo ug tabang kanako?”
