Si Jair nga kaliwat ni Manases mao ang nakapanag-iya sa tibuok Argob nga sakop sa Basan hangtod sa utlanan sa yuta sa mga taga-Geshur ug sa mga taga-Maaca. Kini nga teritoryo ginganlan ni Jair sa iya mismong ngalan, busa hangtod karon ang Basan gitawag nga Mga Lungsod ni Jair.)

Jair the son of Manasseh took all the country of Argob unto the coasts of Geshuri and Maachathi; and called them after his own name, Bashan-havoth-jair, unto this day.
