Niadtong higayona gipili sa Ginoo ang tribo ni Levi sa pagdala sa Sudlanan sa Kasabotan sa Ginoo, sa pag-alagad kaniya, ug sa pagbendisyon sa mga tawo sa iyang ngalan. Hangtod karon mao kini ang ilang buluhaton.

At that time the LORD separated the tribe of Levi, to bear the ark of the covenant of the LORD, to stand before the LORD to minister unto him, and to bless in his name, unto this day.
