Unya, gilumpag sa mga taga-Babilonia ang usa ka bahin sa paril sa siyudad, busa nagplano si Zedekia ug ang tanan niyang mga sundalo sa pag-ikyas. Apan tungod kay nalibotan sa mga taga-Babilonia ang siyudad, naghulat sila hangtod nga mogabii. Didto sila nangagi sa pultahan taliwala sa duha ka paril duol sa hardin sa hari. Nangikyas sila paingon sa Walog sa Jordan,

And the city was broken up, and all the men of war fled by night by the way of the gate between two walls, which is by the king’s garden: (now the Chaldees were against the city round about:) and the king went the way toward the plain.
