Apil ang iyang lola nga si Maaca gipapahawa niya sa pagka-rayna, kay nagpahimo kini ug mangil-ad nga poste nga simbolo sa diosa nga si Ashera. Gipaputol ni Asa ang maong poste ug gipasunog sa Walog sa Kidron.

And also Maachah his mother, even her he removed from being queen, because she had made an idol in a grove; and Asa destroyed her idol, and burnt it by the brook Kidron.
